Who is Kelowna Physiotherapy Associates?
Kelowna Physiotherapy Associates is a group of knowledgable physical and occupational therapists. We are all members in good standing with our Provincial Licensing body, the College of Physical Therapists of BC and the College of Occupational Therapists of BC. We work hard to bring you the most effective advice and techniques, so you can bring mobility and pain-relief back into your life.
A Knowledgable Team
KPA Therapists have extensive training. We have achieved the highest level of training possible in several organizations. We are the only clinic in Kelowna with Certified Hand Therapists through the HTCC and we are the first professionals in Kelowna to offer IMS treatment for chronic pain.
We constantly strive to stay abreast of the latest and newest techniques. Our staff are committed to continuing education and we have travelled all over North America to pursue this goal.
Teamwork
We work together as a team, and we consult with each other on some of our more complicated cases. This team approach allows us to offer you the best possible care, by pooling our collective experiences and knowledge. |

How Treatment Works
- Personal Assessment. You will start your treatment with a personal assessment. We listen to you to determine your unique situation.
- Treatment Options. We will discuss with you, some of your possible treatment options. Some of these treatments may include electrotherapy, traction, ultrasound, manual therapy, manipulation, IMS, taping, custom splinting and acupuncture. A regime of exercises may be appropriate in your case. Some common exercises may include stretching, strengthening and posture correction.
- Reassess Success. After applying your custom plan to your life/work situation, we will target the successes and areas that need further work.
