I opened Kelowna Physiotherapy Associates in November of 2003 with the aim of providing specialized, one on one physiotherapy services.

I enjoy a varied case load, treating musculoskeletal injuries with a variety of techniques. I am a graduate (with distinction) of the School of Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan. I have completed my Medical Acupuncture Certification through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada, Intramuscular Stimulation training with the Dr. Chan Gunn’s ISTOP Foundation and have the highest possible designation through the Orthopaedic Division of The Canadian Physiotherapy Association and a Diploma of Manual & Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2000.

Off hours I spend my time with my young family and a variety of outdoor activities including wakeboarding, golfing and mountain biking.

Certified Hand Therapist

I have been practicing in Kelowna since 2000.  Prior to this I worked in the Vancouver area in both public and private practice for 20 years. I graduated from the University of BC in 1979 and qualified as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) in 1991.  The CHT credential is recognized by many professional organizations as a benchmark for excellence in advanced specialty credentialing in health care.

I consider myself to be extremely fortunate – my profession as a Hand Therapist brings me such personal satisfaction and joy. I consider it a great privilege to be able to provide a service that restores people to work and play, relieves pain and suffering, and makes a difference in people's life. I work in a private clinic with a wonderful group of Therapists and Support Staff. This Team is dedicated, dynamic and fun.

For the last 10 years I have been blending Physiotherapy with Traditional Acupuncture, Cranial Sacral Therapy and more recently Intermuscular Stimulation (Gunn IMS).  The results are excellent and this makes my work very satisfying. In my spare time I enjoy Yoga, family hikes and reading.

Having graduated from the University of Toronto I have over 20 years of experience. Prior to relocating to Kelowna 10 years ago, I was the Senior Physical Therapist with the National Ballet School.

I have a passion for treating both professional and recreational dancers of all ages. I have completed my acupuncture credentialing thru the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (AFCI) and I combine Manual Therapy with Acupuncture and other techniques.

Having graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1995, I have been practicing physical therapy since that time, primarily in an out-patient orthopedic setting.

I relocated to Kelowna in 2006 and attained my CHT designation in 2007. I joined the KPA team in 2008 after a maternity leave and am excited about working with such a diverse group of co-workers.

My spouse, two daughters and I moved to Kelowna from New Brunswick in 2004 and I began helping out with reception at Kelowna Physiotherapy Associates in January 2005.  After having worked in the service industry for many years I obtained a Diploma in Accounting and Computers. I have worked in the administration field and done bookkeeping for many years for a variety of businesses.

I enjoy my position at KPA as it allows me to integrate both my customer service skills and administrative skills. After-hours I enjoy spending time with family, making new friends and getting out to enjoy the beautiful Okanagan weather!

I have been part of the Kelowna Physiotherapy Associates team since August 2007.  I will be the smiling face that greets you when you walk through our doors.  We have an amazing team that brings excitement and fun to each work day.

When I am not in the office you can find me basking in the hot Okanagan sun, exercising at the gym, playing soccer, going for walks, biking, and enjoying time with my family and friends.
