I have worked with Kelowna Physiotherapy Associates since 2003. My earlier position as Senior Physiotherapist at Toronto’s National Ballet School has enabled me to develop an expertise and passion for the prevention and treatment of dance injuries.

In addition, I continue to pursue post-graduate training in order to combine manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and needling techniques of Acupuncture and IMS to treat clients from all walks and stages of life and help them reach their full potential.

I greatly enjoy the collaboration with my fantastic colleagues at KPA.

Jamie Corkal BSc, MSc, MSc PT

Jamie Corkal BSc, MSc, MSc PTI am a graduate of Queen's University and am very excited to be starting my physiotherapy career at Kelowna Physiotherapy Associates in the Okanagan. As a physiotherapist I strongly believe in the adoption of functional movement patterns to optimize rehabilitation from injury, sport performance and living a healthy active lifestyle. My practice primarily focuses on correcting improper movement patterns through joint mobility and muscle strengthening exercise. Additionally, I have a strong interest in post-surgical rehabilitation that includes - but not limited to - ACL reconstruction, total knee replacement, total hip replacement and rotator cuff repair.

In addition to physiotherapy, I completed a Masters of Exercise Physiology from the University of Western Ontario with a specialization in cardiovascular and musculoskeletal responses to exercise. From this perspective, I have developed a keen interest in sport performance for all levels of athletes from youth to masters participants in sports such as football, hockey, soccer, basketball, golf and curling.

As a former football player at UWO, I try to be involved in the local football community as much as possible and am currently the QB/WR Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the Kelowna Secondary School Owls football team. In my spare time, I try to be as active as possible and enjoy golfing, hiking, skiing and the occasional touch football game.
